Infinite Love

LOVE…What does Love really mean?

It is a word some use casually:

I Love this song…I Love this outfit…I Love to dance… I Love how this makes me FEEL…

It is also a word that some use deeply:

I Love the Lord … I Love my Children…I Love my Parents…I Love my family…

Love is more than a feeling.  It is a choice; a decision; an action.  As a Mother, there is this indescribable, unconditional love that I have for my Boys.  As a Teen Mom, I did not always make the right decisions, but I did the best I could, with the knowledge I had, and loved them fiercely and unconditionally.  First at 16 years old and again at 18 years old, I made the choice to commit myself to my sons, no matter what.  It wasn’t always easy, and sometimes, I wished my life was different.  But I also knew I wanted better for me and my Boys.  To give them a life better than mine.

When you can love, and show affection to your children, even when they make mistakes or fall short of expectations, this is unconditional love.  Guiding them through life, and even disciplining them when needed is also Love.

Me and my Mother had our issues.  However, my Mom loved me in spite of my actions and situations, and I loved her, despite her actions and life situations.  She was there to take me to the hospital to have my first son.  Even stopping to get last minute baby stuff before we reached the hospital.  Yes, even on the way to the hospital, my mother wanted to help with last minute preparations for my son’s arrival!!  She was there to cut the cord, and even wore the "Daddy" bracelet.

Some who read this may be celebrating February 14th with a significant other.  Others may celebrate it with their friends, as a day to show appreciation and warm affection for the bond shared between them.  While others may celebrate it with their child(ren).  And some may celebrate it with themselves or not celebrate February 14th at all.

You are Fearfully, Wonderfully, and YouNiquely Made!!  Love Yourself knowing that as a fact!  Share that love with your children.  Raising them with the Love only you can show and give them.

Remember this:  "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."  1 Corinthians 13:4-7

I pray you find TRUE Love in life.  For you and for your children.
